Originally built in 2012, this 135‑meter tanker continues to play a key role in inland fuel transport. With a capacity of 7,850 mt and a 16.20‑meter beam, she remains a solid and dependable asset within the European fleet.
To meet the evolving requirements of ADN 2025, MTS Somtrans XXXIII has been upgraded with ESD‑safe, certified Vapour Lock Valves, enabling a transition towards fully closed operations. Following this retrofit, the vessel is now equipped for:
– Closed measurement of gas, ullage, OBQ/ROB, temperature and water
– Independent, representative multi‑level sampling
This upgrade ensures safer cargo handling, reduced emissions, and continued compliance with current and future regulations. Projects like this demonstrate how existing barges can be successfully adapted — combining proven performance with modern safety and environmental standards.

Delivered in 2026, MTS Cugini strengthens the inland fleet with a clear focus on future fuels. Designed for the transport of CPP, biofuels and feedstocks, she reflects the growing shift towards more sustainable cargo streams across Europe’s waterways.
With a length of 110 meters and a beam of 11.45 meters, the vessel is optimised for flexibility within inland operations, while maintaining high efficiency in cargo handling. Her 9 centre cargo tanks allow for controlled and reliable operations, supporting both conventional and renewable fuel applications.
Operating under Volharding and owned by Bosman Shipping Group, MTS Cugini represents a deliberate step towards low‑carbon logistics and future‑proof fleet development.
Constructed at Dolderman Shipyard, the vessel has been equipped with ESD‑safe, certified Vapour Lock Valves, making her fully aligned with the requirements of ADN 2025. With this setup, the vessel is capable of fully closed operations, including:
– Accurate measurement of gas, ullage, OBQ/ROB, temperature and water
– Independent and representative multi‑level sampling

Fresh from the shipyard, MTS Asteria enters the waterways as a next‑generation tanker designed for the transport of light products.
With her 135‑meter length and 11.45‑meter beam, she delivers efficient and reliable performance across Europe’s inland logistics network.
Equipped with 11 centre cargo tanks, Asteria is configured for controlled and efficient cargo handling.
Owned by Nerissa AG and operating under Burando, she represents a solid step forward in modern inland fuel transport. Engineered for safe, compliant and efficient operations from day one.
Built at Breko Shipbuilding, Papendrecht, the vessel was delivered to high technical standards, including the installation of ESD‑safe, certified Vapour Lock Valves, enabling full compliance with ADN 2025. This allows MTS Asteria to operate fully closed, with:
– Accurate gas, ullage, OBQ/ROB, temperature and water measurements
– Independent and representative multi‑level sampling
